How to Level Up Quickly in Farmville

There are more and more people joining the ranks of FarmVille every day. No one can get enough of this game and there are plenty of reasons why. In FarmVille, you can get away from the noise and stress of everyday life. Just relax, plant some seeds, harvest some crops – not a bad way to spend an evening. And as you do this, you’ll naturally advance in levels over time.

There may come a time, though, when you want to get a little more out of the game. Every time you move up a level, you unlock new seeds, decorations, and other discretionary items. This means that in order to get the most out of your FarmVille experience, you’ll have to level up quickly to unlock as many items and bonuses as you can.

The Basics

But how do you do this? There are several things to keep in mind if you want to level up quickly in FarmVille. You probably already know that in order to level up, you need to accumulate experience points. For example, each plot of land you plow gets you one experience point. In the early stages of game play, the number of experience points you get by plowing land and planting crops is plenty to allow you to advance at a reasonable pace. Once you get through the initial stages though, you start to need more and more experience points to level up.

Focus on Experience

When you want to build up experience points quickly in FarmVille, you have to supplement what you gain from your normal harvests with other activities. Making improvements to your farm is a good way to gain some quick chunks of experience points. Buildings yield the most, but you can get experience from putting up just about any decoration or structure. You just have to pay close attention to the amounts of experience points each item will deliver.

You should also take experience points into consideration when deciding which crops to plant. Crops that take less than a day to grow only yield 1 experience point, while crops that take longer yield 2. That doesn’t mean you only want to plant crops that offer 2 experience points however. If you can get back and harvest them as soon as they’re ready, crops like strawberries will get you more than 2 experience points a day because you can harvest them every 4 hours.

You have to be on top of your harvesting and planting cycles in order to make progress this way though. Putting up buildings on your farm remains the best way to get big boosts in your experience quickly. Save up your cash for those, and you’ll be well on your way to unlocking all of the available items in FarmVille.

Do You Really Need a Guide For FarmVille?

I consider myself to be relatively well educated in the latest generation of social networking site games like Mafia Wars, Vampire Wars, and such. That’s why when I started to see these FarmVille guides popping up all over the place I was kind of surprised. I mean, I can see why people might need some tips to get going in games like Mafia Wars, but FarmVille?

At this point though I hadn’t actually played the game, but I didn’t really think it could be all that complicated. I figured I should give it a shot though, just so that I could say I knew what I was talking about. And I was in for a rather big surprise. In no time, I was out of money and had no crops to plant. I have to admit, there way more to this game than I had anticipated.

I eventually managed to dig myself out of my original hole and out of the red, but I still wasn’t making all that much progress. I started to think that maybe I needed to see what these guides were all about. I wasn’t really expecting much, but since I hadn’t done so well on my own either, I figured it was worth a shot.

So I picked up a guide called farmville secrets, and was pleasantly surprised by the tips I found in it. You wouldn’t think there were so many ways you could screw up a virtual farm, but believe me, you can. I was still stumbling along at level 6 when I got the guide after 2 weeks of playing regularly. Now I’m the proud owner of a plantation and a level 26 Sultan of Soil. And I still look back at my guide from time to time. If you’re having trouble getting into the swing of things in FarmVille, this guide is not a bad investment.

Playing Facebook’s Farmville and would like to increase the FV credits earned. Any ideas??
I just started a couple days ago but already level 18. This is my take on the application so far. You get one FV buck every day you log in. If this isn’t enough… At the top of the FV application window, you will see a toolbar that says Play, My Neighbors…. Get More Farm Coins. Click on this option. You can either pay for your FV bucks or if you scroll beyond this you will see offers and ads that you can take advantage of to earn FV bucks. I’ve done some of the free ones for other applications. You have to jump through a lot of hoops to get the last screen which you have to get to to earn the bucks though. It is possible and far less expensive than buying them. However, expect lots of popup ads through out the process and after. I strongly! suggest you run an application like Spybot Search & Destroy and/or CCleaner when you are done to get rid of the cookies and all the buildup in the internet cache. Also an FYI, the FV bucks from these are not instantaneously credited to you. It can take from an hour up to 2 days to get the bucks credited to your account so some patience is required too. If you don’t stick to the “Free” offers, be very cautious of anything that gives you a free sample but requires your credit card number. A lot of them are automatically renewing club memberships and many companies (I have learned the hard way) are difficult to get a hold of to cancel the membership.

Why does Farmville on Facebook run slow on my computer?

We have a desktop computer downstairs and then my laptop. When on the desktop Farmville runs fine, but on my laptop it runs at a very low frame rate for some reason. I can play games at double the graphical capacity on my laptop than I can on the desktop so I don’t understand why Farmville runs slow. I’ve never had anything run slow on my laptop, it’s just Farmville for some reason.
Farmville lately has been having connections problems, so it might not be your computer that’s slow, just the game itself.

How can I get FarmVille alerts in my Facebook homepage newsfeed?

Awhile back I clicked to ignore all FarmVille alerts on my newsfeed, and now that I’ve started to play it, I would like to receive those alerts again. Is there any way to get them back or un-ignore them? I’ve tried editing my FarmVille settings, but I was unable to find newsfeed settings. Thanks for your help!
On your facebook homepage, scroll down to the bottom and you will see ‘edit options’. This tells you what newsfeeds are currently hidden and you can choose to ‘unhide’ the farmville ones.

I play farmville on facebook and I was wondering why would someone buy a building? Also how do you adopt animals, not buy them from the market, like a brown cow or a duck?
I guess once you have enough coins/money to rotate your crops and fill up the space with animals and trees, you might just want to spend the extra on buildings, just to make your farm look cool. And you have to have friends (farmville neighbors) gift you some of those things, and be lucky enough to be online when a newsfeed about a stray black sheep or ugly ducking comes up, so you can be the first to click on it.

On Farmville on Facebook it says that to get a ribbon i have to adopt 2 pets from he animal shelter.And how do i do that?

Sometimes, while farming, a lost animal will appear on your farm asking for your help. You help the animal by posting it on your facebook wall and asking your facebook friends to help the poor animal.

This also happens to your friends that play farmville. They post it on their wall, and you see it. You click on the animal and invite it to stay on your farm. When you do this, you have adopted an animal.

Note that farmville limits the number of people that can adopt an animal. Sometimes 1 friend may adopt, other times more friends may adopt the sheep. You need to be quick when you see the sheep and hope that someone has not already adopted it.
