I also play farmville on my laptop, and it runs slow. Farmville has alot of graphics, and alot of moving things, such as the animals. With all these graphics, the computer is trying to process them and runs slower. You will notice that it runs faster on a desktop because the desktop has a higher memory. I would simply suggest deleting all viruses and spyware. It will not be perfect, but of course it will be as fast as possible.

Farmville lately has been having connections problems, so it might not be your computer that's slow, just the game itself.
